Co-Pastor Debra Garrison has worked alongside her husband, Pastor Joseph Garrison, at New Hope Outreach Center for over 10 years. God called her to preach in 1988, but being young and scared, she ran from the call. She finally answered the call to preach in 2002. Not only is she a preacher but a teacher, Psalmist, and motivational speaker. She is also the founder of Hands of Hope; a ministry that supports the elderly, the founder and director of W.O.W. (Women of Worth) a women's ministry that promotes awareness and unity of all women. She along with Pastor Joe is working diligently to improve the lives of the people, and the esthetics of the City View Community. She has started a newsletter called " C The View" which informs the residents of what is going on in the City View Community. Co-Pastor Debra Garrison is not just a strong woman of God but she is very family oriented as well. She has been married to Pastor Joseph Garrison for over 17 years. She is the mother of three and grandmother of eleven. Aside from the ministry she works as an admissions counselor at Greenville Hospital System.
She is a true believer in the uplifting and she has a true passion for building those around her. Isaiah 58:12 is the scripture that she lives by and what her ministry was founded on:
"Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell in"
